buwahahhaa.....

They ban headscarves, to keep with their idea of banning all religious symbols in school, so they are now zionists and jews?

Get over it, it's not an attack on islam, but on all religions. In the west, Christianity has been feeling this sort of pressure for half a decade. Removal of Creationism as a theory, removal of voluntary prayer at any school events, removal of anything to do with any religion in any public place.

Islam, welcome to what the rest of the religions have been delaing with. It's wrong then, it's wrong now, but it isn't another 'jew conspiracy' [Image: wink.gif]

Bismillah

Are the wearing of crosses and crucifizes also banned? Yarmulkes allowed also? To me this would point out bias or an attempt at true secularism.

I'm confused at what you are talking about. I don't care what religion you come from, you can pray at anytime, anywhere. I do not want to argue this point, don't get me wrong, but this has not been my experiance. Certainly we do not need government permission to say a prayer.

Regarding the headscarves, I believe personally that if Catholic nuns are allowed to wear their 'headgear' the Muslim women should be extended the same courtesy.

Take care,

No. You do not seem to undestand the FACT that Sunni and Shia are very different in many many ways. I have no knowledge about Shia to where I would feel any level of comfort discussing their methods and beliefs. I also do not approve of Shia and Sunni being lumped together as the same type of Islam. That is why I have not responded. I have tried to express this before and I guess was unsucessful in putting it in a manner in which you would understand how I feel. Allah Forgive me.

Excuse me but i FAIL to understnd HOW can bnning of religious signs or a piece of cloth can be a TROUBLE for France??? If it wants to be a secular country so be it, instead it shuld allow ANY kind of religious or cultural values...............It is ironic that a SECULAR country is banning religious signs & codes!!!!

Iam sorry but this MOSTLY effects Muslims because even Christian women are also advised in BIBLE to cover their head, they Don't & only Nuns do. So the Muslim women who are strong in their faith won't be able to wear their IDENTITY i.e their Head scarf!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that other religious stuff e.g banning crossed signs is a MERE attept compared to head scarves........So INDEED it's a PLANNED scheme by Freanch authorities.

Why don't you explain this one - Somehow muslim women feel more strongly about their head scarves than other religious people feel about their respective symbols??

Give me a break.

I think that probably is very true for women who cover. There is a big difference between the display of a religious icon such as a cross, and an attempted ban which would deny the womens right to protect her own modesty.

I find it quite presumptiuous to discount others religious views so quickly, because you feel so strongly in yours.

I don't have any more of a point, simply I disagree [Image: smile.gif]
