Believing in God 100% and that God is only one who can give us what we want and what we need is the only way to get out the problems that we are facing in our life. "7usen Althan Be Allah" means that believing in God is the solution for any problems we face. Be a strong believer in God's ability of making the impossible possible and you will see that we are in a blessing for being Muslims.

Some people dislike this world because they have faced a great deal of trials, stress, and exhaustion. Undoubtedly these people do not understand the true nature of this world. The believer encounters all kinds of trials by means of which Allah expiates his sins. Allah says (interp of meaning): (Verily, We have created man in toil.) [al-Balad 90:4] And (And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As Saabiroon [the patient].) [al-Baqarah 2:155]

Prophet Muhammad alaihi issalaam warned us against being negligent with regard to minor sins. 'Aa'ishah said: (The Messenger of Allah (alaihi issalaam) said to me: 'O 'Aa'ishah, beware of deeds that are regarded as insignificant, for they have a pursuer from Allah.') (Sahih)

Ibn Wahb may Allah have mercy on him said: I made a vow that for every time I spoke ill of a person behind his back that I would fast a day in compensation. I would backbite someone then fast a day, then I found this tiring. So I made the intention to donate a dirham for each time I did it and finally I abandoned backbiting due to my attachment to money!

A headline reading “Muslim Business Club” popped up on our Particls news ticker. Of course, we jumped over to their site to find out what they had to offer. After a quick registration and profile set up, we browsed the features available. Being a social business network, we decided to perform a simple test. We will wait and see how long it will take to make contacts. Well, we didn’t have to wait long. Soon, we were contacted by Farrukh Naeem, an award winning copywriter and journalist, a brother from Kosovo seeking advice and a request to develop a website for new project to help former drug users with rehab, detox, job hunting and housing. Since then, we have also received requests to connect with a project leader for a job search site for Muslims and a business leader in the leather industry. Old friends soon joined and connected with us. For a new networking tool, we have been very impressed. In less than 2 months, they had 1200 members and they plan to re-design their site to prominently feature members’ blogs. During our review process, we contacted Muslim Business Club founders, Rias A. Sherzad and Farid Zazai, to talk about their new project.

There is a shortage of school governors and it is difficult to find a Muslim governor in a state schools. A campaign has started to recruit more and more Muslim governors. In 2003, there were only 53 Muslim schools and now there are more than 126 full-time Muslim schools and more are in the pipe line because of racism and anti-Muslim feeling in state schools. The silent majority of Muslim parents would like to send their children to Muslim schools. In my opinion, AOMG and MCB should campaign for more state funded Muslim schools rather than asking for more Muslim governors in state schools. Muslim children are disadvantaged by an education system that perpetuates inequalities. British media and schooling tried their best to mirror Islamic cultural values as inferior, backward traditions and unworthy. This cultural obliteration is being made possible by the negation of the right to speak Urdu and Arabic as well as choice of dress.


I think that Muslim governors in state schools are not going to bring any kind of change. I became the first Muslim governor in Newham in the 70s but left after three years. I was the only Muslim governors and I found it a waste of time. In the 90s, Stratford school in Newham was opted out by the board of governors from the LEA. Majority of governors were Muslims. Within a year there was a conflict with the non-Muslim head teacher and the Secretary of State for Education dismissed all the governors and appointed new governors. The head teacher took early retirement and was awarded round about two hundred and fifty thousands pounds as a reward for getting rid of Muslim governors


There are hundreds of state schools where Muslim pupils are in majority. In my opinion, those schools should be designated as Muslim community schools. State funded Muslim schools are the solution and not the problem. Muslim pupils are bilingual. Bilingualism strengthens their cultural identity and foster educational success. It is such a gift to a child, that it is irresponsible not to encourage its natural development. Trilingual 11-years olds outperform monolingual children in reading tests. They are five times more likely to get five A-C grades at GCSE than those who don’t. Bilingualism and biculturalism should be valued and recognized by the teachers. If children’s education leads them to believe that the language of their parents is somehow “inferior”, the chances of their feeling out of place in their extra-familial environment are likely to be greater (“banlieux” of Paris, November 2005?). Telling them to “go home”, to a “home” where they were not born, is no sort of a solution. The price of ignoring children’s bilingualism is educational failure and social exclusion. Learning to read in three languages has social, emotional and cognitive advantages, according to a study of 5-7 years olds in Watford. The children learn English, Urdu and Arabic at the same time at the age of five.

Sunni and Shi'a Leaders in Michigan to Sign Historic Muslim Code of Honor Today


WASHINGTON, DC - May 10, 2007 (MASNET) In a response to sectarian tension overseas, and in a show of mutuality and respect between the two largest global communities in the Muslim Ummah, prominent leaders from the Sunni and Shi's Muslim communities in Michigan will sign a historic Muslim Code of Honor today, Thursday, May 10th, 2007.


This historic document will establish a framework that will enable the two communities to "live in peace and respect for each other" not only in times of agreement and ease, but also when the two communities are faced with contentious issues and disagreement. The document is also intended to avert the growth of any form of hostility and antagonism between Sunni and Shi’a communities in the United States.


The Code of Honor, which was initiated by Hajj Glalib V. Begg of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Michigan, establishes among other points, that no group should use the rhetoric of takfir (i.e., branding others as non-believers), and that Muslims should recognize all who believe in the supremacy of Allah (Most Exalted and Glorified), and in the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him), as believers.


Further, in references to differences in the performance of worship, the Code of Honor stipulates that Muslims should "agree to respect the rules in effect and the authority of the leadership that endorses them in the particular mosque or religious institution where they are the norm."


The Code of Honor also calls on all Muslims to refrain from the distribution of provocative and inflammatory literature (especially from overseas sources), and to work to emphasize our commonality.


The Muslim American Society in Michigan, and its affiliates, were among the organizations that played a leading role in the endorsement of this important agreement.

Man has free will by means of which he believes or disbelieves, and he obeys or disobeys. He will be brought to account and rewarded or punished, although Allah knows what he will do, what he will choose, and what his ultimate destiny will be. But Allah does not compel him to do evil or to choose kufr. Rather He has sent Messengers and revealed Books and clearly shown him the right way. Allah says: (And say: 'The truth is from your Lord.' Then whosoever wills, let him believe; and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve.)

Allah is the Creator of all things, and nothing happens in the universe except by His will. He knows what is to come and already decreed it. He wrote it in a Book fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, as is stated in a sahih report from our Prophet alaihi issalaam. He is just and does not wrong anyone in the slightest, because He is independent of His creation and has no need of them. He is Kind and Gracious to them constantly, so how could He wrong them?
