My dear friends.....I hope you are all well.I have been away from this board due to my circumstances.Welcome you all.I want to draw your attention to this serious mistake committed by some writers when they talk about our prophet Muammah. They only write down the (saw)instead of say Sula Allah Ailaeehi Wasallam(Peace be upon Him).If we want to gain more rewards,we must say Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him)contarary to (saw).
I hope you got my point and act accordingly soon.

Salaam brothers and sister
I hope this tread will inshallah benefit us all.
My question is how should one perform Travel pray , I have heard two opinion on this one side states as follows
2 Rakat for Fajar
2 Rakat for Zohar at Zhohar time
2 Rakat for Asar at Asar time
3 Rakat for Magrib at Magrib time
and 2 Rakat Esha at Esha time
second opinion is
2 Rakat for Fajar at Fajar time
combine salaat for Zohar and Asar
2 Rakat for Zohar first and then follow by 2 Rakat for Asar
Combine salaat for Magrib and Esha
3 Rakat for Magrib follow by Esha
my other question is if one was travelling over 50 miles to a destination and was unable to perform Zohar Salaat ie travel pray and he comes back his own location ie home can he perform travel salaat or can he perform just 4 Rakat Zohar even if he misses the Zohar time

Is there grave tornment??? |

Bismillah
as salam alykom
My mother and I were discussing were in Quran it is mentioned about tornment of grave, or is it only established through Sunnah. As we know, the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam used to say a supplication during Salat after the Tasha hud and before ending with Salam in which he sought refuge to Allah from Fitnah (temptation) of hell, grave, living and death and the Masih Addajal. We say so long as the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam sought refuge from something, this is an evidence of the issue being true.
But while searching I found an answer to the same question and thought of sharing it with you:
Allah Say in Quran 40:46:
The Fire; they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon, and
on the Day when the Hour
will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Pharaoh's people to enter the severest torment!"
When you read the Ayah, you will easily understand that the first stage in which they are exposed to fire (may Allah Protect us against it ameen) morning and I do better say evening (a`shayn this is what the Ayah say). This part is succeeded with and which is a particle of adding, so long as Allah Used and, the reason is to differentiate between the first stage and the second in which Allah specified it as on the Day when the Hour will be established. Note as well that will indicates a sense of future again stressing that those two are two different and separate stages of torture (may Allah Protect us against His torture and anger ameen). This leaves no other option but to say that the first stage - since the hour at that time is not still on - will take part in the grave. May Allah treat us with his Pardon ameen.
Sobhan Allah.

A Special Thank You
To George W Bush
By Ted Twietmeyer
6-7-8
On behalf of the American people, today I step forward and extend my thanks to you. During your two terms in office, you've worked very hard to help the average American's life. I'd like to take a moment or two and specifically thank you for the following:
* The stress of going to work for millions of Americans has been greatly relieved by your diligent efforts by sending all those terrible sources of income toChina.
* Now that we have Homeland Security we can all sleep better knowing that when the doors of our homes are kicked in at night, it will be only for our protection and our own good. We trust you implicitly to do the right thing.
* Millions of Americans, who have been stressed out for years by living the American Dream of owning a home, will no longer have these worries. Living in a car or RV is so much simpler, and far more comfortable.
* The mice, ants, roaches and other pests brought on by having food in American cupboards and pantries has finally been brought under control. The New America you've given us has made that happen, by emptying pantries and cupboards all across America. Companies like D-Con, Rent-A-Kill and Orkin may have their very existence in peril with the lack of food.
* Your 100 year war you have bestowed upon the American people and indeed, all of the western world to fight terrorism will provide jobs for all. All those children from your wonderful "No Child Left Behind" public school policy that are now graduating from high schools everywhere are unfit for college. But they will find food, shelter, training and employment under the loving organization of Homeland Security.
* You have shown us you must be a God, for you could see the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center which was never televised. You were so humble that you didn't want to admit you could see it without the aid of television, so you stated you saw it on television.
* We all thank you for your gift of the Patriot Act. Since the 1200+ page document was all ready to sign the same week as 9-11, clearly you have the gift of foresight and had it all ready ahead of time. You saw that terrible evil coming on 9-11, but you didn't stop it because all those deaths were good forAmerica.
* Your quiet, diligent work to take down America's borders by leaving them effectively undefended to allow millions of illegal aliens to enter America and burden her down in her time of need, is a love for America beyond compare.
* We all understand even another way you show us love, by the special protections you give to corporations like Blackwater that help destroy America's reputation. We realize that it's for our own good.
* We're all so sorry that those six nuclear weapons that reached Barksdale, Louisiana last year (the logistics staging airbase for the mid-east war) were stopped by those annoying patriotic Americans. They should have been allowed to proceed to destroy Iran and officially start WW3. After all, you know what's best for America.
* All Americans everywhere want to join together and thank you for the highest fuel prices in the history of the planet. It took you considerable hard work and the courage to give away all the Iraqi oil to foreign corporations that many thousands of American soldiers died for, to make this gift become a reality. Because of this wonderful gift, millions of Americans will no be troubled by making vacation plans. And they will not have to endure all that stress relief that goes with a nice vacation.
* We all want to extend a special thank you for staging not one war, but two wars without any means to pay for them. Foolish people on Capitol Hill during WW2 wasted so much time selling war bonds to pay for that war. Perhaps by the end of 2008, you can get a third front started for us to enjoy with no possible way to pay for it.
* Millions of homeowners everywhere are so grateful that you have pulled funding from minor projects like rebuilding America's aging infrastructure. Cities and towns everywhere have created tremendous tax increases, and homeowners everywhere are so happy about it they have used garage and yard sales to display and celebrate their gratitude for taxes they cannot afford.
* We're all grateful for you not working too hard to find your arch enemy and supposed architect of 9-11, Bin Laden. We understand your need for him, and that finding him would end all justification for the mid-east conflict. No one wants to let the air out of your war tires.
* There all are those careers you've so graciously destroyed in the military to protect yourself. These patriotic men and women have no business upholding the Constitution like they have, despite their oath when each was sworn in at the induction center. Their allegiance must be to you, not the Constitution. You have stated to us that the Constitution is "just a God-Da..d piece of paper" and this is how we know that you are where everyone's faith must be centered.
* Surely there are many more gifts you've given America, and we're terribly sorry if we have omitted them. And we're all sure, that the coming atrocities you'll bestow upon us and the world before you leave office will be for the good of America, and the entire world.
In closing, I'd like to say that destroying America with a carefully crafted plan is a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. Certainly, you make Mike Rowe proud. But I don't think he'd be able to do your dirty job in a short segment on his cable show, "Dirty Jobs."

Sobhan Allah, this needs pondering and thinking

No, I Can't!
07/06/08
AFTER MONTHS of a tough and bitter race, a merciless struggle, Barack Obama has defeated his formidable opponent, Hillary Clinton. He has wrought a miracle: for the first time in history a black person has become a credible candidate for the presidency of the most powerful country in the world.
And what was the first thing he did after his astounding victory? He ran to the conference of the Israel lobby, AIPAC, and made a speech that broke all records for obsequiousness and fawning.
That is shocking enough. Even more shocking is the fact that nobody was shocked.
IT WAS a triumphalist conference. Even this powerful organization had never seen anything like it. 7000 Jewish functionaries from all over the United States came together to accept the obeisance of the entire Washington elite, which came to kowtow at their feet. All the three presidential hopefuls made speeches, trying to outdo each other in flattery. 300 Senators and Members of Congress crowded the hallways. Everybody who wants to be elected or reelected to any office, indeed everybody who has any political ambitions at all, came to see and be seen.
The Washington of AIPAC is like the Constantinople of the Byzantine emperors in its heyday.
The world looked on and was filled with wonderment. The Israeli media were ecstatic. In all the world's capitals the events were followed closely and conclusions were drawn. All the Arab media reported on them extensively. Aljazeera devoted an hour to a discussion of the phenomenon.
The most extreme conclusions of professors John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt were confirmed in their entirety. On the eve of their visit to Israel, this coming Thursday, the Israel Lobby stood at the center of political life in the US and the world at large.
WHY, ACTUALLY? Why do the candidates for the American presidency believe that the Israel lobby is so absolutely essential to their being elected?
The Jewish votes are important, of course, especially in several swing states which may decide the outcome. But African-Americans have more votes, and so do the Hispanics. Obama has brought to the political scene millions of new young voters. Numerically, the Arab-Muslim community in the US is also not an insignificant factor.
Some say that Jewish money speaks. The Jews are rich. Perhaps they donate more than others for political causes. But the myth about all-powerful Jewish money has an anti-Semitic ring. After all, other lobbies, and most decidedly the huge multinational corporations, have given considerable sums of money to Obama (as well as to his opponents). And Obama himself has proudly announced that hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens have sent him small donations, which have amounted to tens of millions.
True, it has been proven that the Jewish lobby can almost always block the election of a senator or a member of Congress who does not dance - and do so with fervor - to the Israeli tune. In some exemplary cases (which were indeed meant to be seen as examples) the lobby has defeated popular politicians by lending its political and financial clout to the election campaign of a practically unknown rival.
But in a presidential race?
THE TRANSPARENT fawning of Obama on the Israel lobby stands out more than similar efforts by the other candidates.
Why? Because his dizzying success in the primaries was entirely due to his promise to bring about a change, to put an end to the rotten practices of Washington and to replace the old cynics with a young, brave person who does not compromise his principles.
And lo and behold, the very first thing he does after securing the nomination of his party is to compromise his principles. And how!
The outstanding thing that distinguishes him from both Hillary Clinton and John McCain is his uncompromising opposition to the war in Iraq from the very first moment. That was courageous. That was unpopular. That was totally opposed to the Israel lobby, all of whose branches were fervidly pushing George Bush to start the war that freed Israel from a hostile regime.
And here comes Obama to crawl in the dust at the feet of AIPAC and go out of his way to justify a policy that completely negates his own ideas.
OK he promises to safeguard Israel's security at any cost. That is usual. OK he threatens darkly against Iran, even though he promised to meet their leaders and settle all problems peacefully. OK he promised to bring back our three captured soldiers (believing, mistakenly, that all three are held by Hizbullah - an error that shows, by the way, how sketchy is his knowledge of our affairs.)
But his declaration about Jerusalem breaks all bounds. It is no exaggeration to call it scandalous.
NO PALESTINIAN, no Arab, no Muslim will make peace with Israel if the Haram-al-Sharif compound (also called the Temple Mount), one of the three holiest places of Islam and the most outstanding symbol of Palestinian nationalism, is not transferred to Palestinian sovereignty. That is one of the core issues of the conflict.
On that very issue, the Camp David conference of 2000 broke up, even though the then Prime Minister, Ehud Barak, was willing to divide Jerusalem in some manner.
Along comes Obama and retrieves from the junkyard the outworn slogan "Undivided Jerusalem, the Capital of Israel for all Eternity". Since Camp David, all Israeli governments have understood that this mantra constitutes an insurmountable obstacle to any peace process. It has disappeared - quietly, almost secretly - from the arsenal of official slogans. Only the Israeli (and American-Jewish) Right sticks to it, and for the same reason: to smother at birth any chance for a peace that would necessitate the dismantling of the settlements.
In prior US presidential races, the pandering candidates thought that it was enough to promise that the US embassy would be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. After being elected, not one of the candidates ever did anything about this promise. All were persuaded by the State Department that it would harm basic American interests.
Obama went much further. Quite possibly, this was only lip service and he was telling himself: OK, I must say this in order to get elected. After that, God is great.
But even so the fact cannot be ignored: the fear of AIPAC is so terrible, that even this candidate, who promises change in all matters, does not dare. In this matter he accepts the worst old-style Washington routine. He is prepared to sacrifice the most basic American interests. After all, the US has a vital interest in achieving an Israeli-Palestinian peace that will allow it to find ways to the hearts of the Arab masses from Iraq to Morocco. Obama has harmed his image in the Muslim world and mortgaged his future - if and when he is elected president.
SIXTY FIVE years ago, American Jewry stood by helplessly while Nazi Germany exterminated their brothers and sisters in Europe. They were unable to prevail on President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to do anything significant to stop the Holocaust. (And at that same time, many Afro-Americans did not dare to go near the polling stations for fear of dogs being set on them.)
What has caused the dizzying ascent to power of the American Jewish establishment? Organizational talent? Money? Climbing the social ladder? Shame for their lack of zeal during the Holocaust?
The more I think about this wondrous phenomenon, the stronger becomes my conviction (about which I have already written in the past) that what really matters is the similarity between the American enterprise and the Zionist one, both in the spiritual and the practical sphere. Israel is a small America, the USA is a huge Israel.
The Mayflower passengers, much as the Zionists of the first and second aliya (immigration wave), fled from Europe, carrying in their hearts a messianic vision, either religious or utopian. (True, the early Zionists were mostly atheists, but religious traditions had a powerful influence on their vision.) The founders of American society were "pilgrims", the Zionists immigrants called themselves "olim" - short for olim beregel, pilgrims. Both sailed to a "promised land", believing themselves to be God's chosen people.
Both suffered a great deal in their new country. Both saw themselves as "pioneers", who make the wilderness bloom, a "people without land in a land without people". Both completely ignored the rights of the indigenous people, whom they considered sub-human savages and murderers. Both saw the natural resistance of the local peoples as evidence of their innate murderous character, which justified even the worst atrocities. Both expelled the natives and took possession of their land as the most natural thing to do, settling on every hill and under every tree, with one hand on the plow and the Bible in the other.
True, Israel did not commit anything approaching the genocide performed against the Native Americans, nor anything like the slavery that persisted for many generations in the US. But since the Americans have repressed these atrocities in their consciousness, there is nothing to prevent them from comparing themselves to the Israelis. It seems that in the unconscious mind of both nations there is a ferment of suppressed guilt feelings that express themselves in the denial of their past misdeeds, in aggressiveness and the worship of power.
HOW IS it that a man like Obama, the son of an African father, identifies so completely with the actions of former generations of American whites? It shows again the power of a myth to become rooted in the consciousness of a person, so that he identifies 100% with the imagined national narrative. To this may be added the unconscious urge to belong to the victors, if possible.
Therefore, I do not accept without reservation the speculation: "Well, he must talk like this in order to get elected. Once in the White House, he will return to himself."
I am not so sure about that. It may well turn out that these things have a surprisingly strong hold on his mental world.
Of one thing I am certain: Obama's declarations at the AIPAC conference are very, very bad for peace. And what is bad for peace is bad for Israel, bad for the world and bad for the Palestinian people.
If he sticks to them, once elected, he will be obliged to say, as far as peace between the two peoples of this country is concerned: "No, I can't!"

Bismillah
I received this on an email, really touching. Although it is not from an Islamic source but much can be learnt.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: 'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?'
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'
Then he told the following story:
Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try t o put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'
Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.
The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.
Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first! Run to first!' Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!' Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.
All were screaming, 'Sha y, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'
Shay re ached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third! Shay, run to third!'
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!' Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.
'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.
Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!
A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.

If your pastor or priest told you that you will be doomed for being gay or lesbian, don't worry, you can still be saved according to CHRISTIANS (although some Christians will say that those Christians are actually NOT Christians) however, you can check up the Christian GAYS websites to see by your own eyes that they believe in actually everything that other protestant and Catholics believes in, but simply they are GAYS AND LESBIANS. not only that, they also believe that the Bible do not condemn homosexuality.
Check out their websites.

Muslim Ghettoisation
We live in a shrunken world and millions of people are on the move; one of our biggest challenges is how we learn to live in proximity to difference – different skin colours, different beliefs and different way of life. According to a study by COMPAS, Muslims born and educated were given the impression of outsiders. The perception among Muslims is that they are unwelcome in Britain is undermining efforts to help them integrate into wider society. Most of them say that they have experienced race discrimination and religious prejudice. Muslims and Islam is promoted a fundamentalist and separatist by the western elite, which have negative impact on community and social cohesion. The number of racist incidents occurring in London Borough of Redbridge’s schools have reached their highest levels since record begin.
A City or a locality, where Muslims are in majority is a ghetto. There is a tendency for people of similar backgrounds to live together in neighourhoods. The term”ghettoisation” is inappropriate. The original ghettos in Europe during the middle ages were set up by law to confine the Jewish population to one area of a city. According to a research by an Australian academic that Muslim communities in Britain are being increasingly ghettoized in a trend that set back hopes of assimilation by years. Britain has now eight cities in the top 100 most ghettoized cities. The people from the Pakistani community in Bradford and Oldham and Leicester had trebled during the decade. A report by an academic Dr Alan Carling, that Bradford risks becoming a front line in the global clash between the West and Islam. But Islam and Muslims do not clash with the concepts of pluralism, secularism and globalisation. The native flight from Bradford’s inner-city wards showed clear evidence of an increase in segregation in the city since 1991. Native parents are avoiding sending their children in state schools where Muslims and other minorities are in majority. The dominance of Pakistani Muslims in the city has meant that Bradford has become bi-cultural.
Immigrants are the creators of Britain new wealth, otherwise, inner cities deprived areas could not get new lease of life. The native Brits regard such areas as ghettoes. Integration is not religious and cultural, it is economic and Muslims are well integrated into British society and at the same time they are proud of their Islamic, linguistic and cultural identities, inspite of discrimination they have been facing in all walks of life. According to UN, 80% of British Muslims feel discriminated. They are less burden on social services. Immigrants made up 8.7% of the population, but accounted for10.2% of all collected income tax
It is often quoted by the Western media that Muslim schools ghettoizse the children, and even lead to their radicalisation if they are not integrated. There is no evidence that faith schools lead to a “ghettoized education system. In British schools, pupils are encouraged to focus too much on their similarities rather than their differences. The integrationist approach merely results in Muslims feeling that their faith, language and culture is not respected.
