  Approach To History
Posted by: nawaz - 12-17-2004, 11:37 AM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Dear All

Taking the 1400 years in full sweep, the first and the foremost issue is that of original source material, but for the times of Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him and his immediate successors, even these original sources are not available. The so-called original sources, Al-Tabri's history and Ibn-Ishaq's biography of Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him and the collected traditions were written more than 200 years after the event, without any previous written record. What happened to this previous record is perhaps a story by itself and needs to be researched. The funny thing is that subsequent historians and biographers continued to refer to these so-called -original- sources and till today no historian, Muslim or non-Muslim, has ever questioned the authenticity of Al-Tabri and Ibn-Ishaq.

Secondly, there is need to emphasize that the Ummayed dynasty, the Arab in character, remained men of action harmonius with their centuries old mode of living. The unleashing of this quality led to the conquest of vast lands from the Atlantic and the Pyrenes in the West to the Chinese frontier in Sinkiang in the East. Writing was not their main bastion. But when the Abbasides came to power with the support of the Persians and Khorasanians, the period of action and conquest ended and that of writing began. The writers of this period were predominantly Persians, who were hell-bent upon winning the war against the Arabs with their writings -and against the war, which they had lost in the battlefield.

Posted by: hefny - 12-16-2004, 11:51 AM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

How to safe a life in tragedy

: It is very important if we are not able to stop the war at least we should try to safe lives of injured

therefore I dream that if all interested to show to all OF US

how any one can safe a life of some one else

Also we should put in mind that even first aid kit could not be available then we should select things normally available at our home (oil- salt – hot water – vinegar – alcohol....)

I hope also that if we can help to safe lives information available in Arabic and English including pictures for easy understanding

I think whoever can share in that information will be one of the best world lives safe

<b>if today you could safe my life may be I could safe yours tomorrow</b>

  Supreme Being Described
Posted by: nawaz - 12-15-2004, 10:27 AM - Forum: Islam - No Replies

Dear All

A finite thing cannot grasp an infinite object. However,we know Supreme

being through his attributes given in the Quran.Accordingly, belief in

Allah Almighty means to accept the sovereignty of One Whose attributes

are described in the Quran. The concept of a supreme authority exists

amongst people all over the world, even amongst the most primitive

tribes; and all of them bow down to it, although the picture of that

authority is different in the minds of people belonging to different

tribes and different religions, Yahawa of Jews, Father of Christians,

Ishwar or Paremeshwar of Hindus and Yazdan of Zoroastrians, all bear a

different concept. On the other hand,Allah Almighty described in the

Quran,is different from all of them.It appears that the Messengers

(Rasools) who appeared on the earth, from time to time, for the guidance

of mankind, introduced the same concept of the Supreme Authority as

given in the Quran but that it was gradually adulterated by man-made

ideas and baser human sentiments, and ultimately made to disappear. Thus

the self oriented concept of God in one religion becomes different

from that of the other. Thus the real concept of Allah Almighty is the

one that arises out of the manifestation of the attributes of Allah

Almighty as laid down in the Quran.Since the concept of God amongst

the non-Muslims is of their own making, their belief in God is not the

same as pescribed by the Quran.

History Of Civilization In Few Words
Posted by: nawaz - 12-14-2004, 03:02 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Dear All

Few words of sentiments.History is replete with such stories of the

rise and growth and the ultimate decline and fall of several human

civilizations. Ancient Babylon,Egypt,Greece,Iran,Rome,India and even

some parts of the New World are now graveyards of glorious old

civilizations. These stand as living testimony to the story of man's

tragic failure. They induce a thoughtful mood in sensitive spectators

and caution them to pause for a while and reflect over this warning of

the Quraan:Do not be like a woman who undoes her yarn after she has

spun it with great labour. You make your pledges a means of deceiving

others so that you may supersede them in wealth and power.Mark! the

position of a nation does not remain static:changes take place

occasionally. On the day of Reckoning that wherein you were at

variance, will be made clear to you - Quran Chapter 16 verse 92-

And this has become even more imperative today than it was yesterday!

  Few Lines About Quran
Posted by: nawaz - 12-13-2004, 08:23 AM - Forum: Islam - Replies (5)

Dear All

To revitalize that the Quran is the criterion for judging between

truth and falsehood – everything that agrees with the Quran is correct

and that, which is in disagreement with it, is false To inculcate the

Quranic Teachings for developing the vision that reason alone is not

enough to solve the problems of life – reason needs Revelation, Wahee,

just as eyes need the light of sun.To garnish the stark fact that the

Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad peace be upon him attained the

pinnacle of beautiful character and conduct – foreign conspiracies

vitiated our history by alloying with it things that are a blot on the

Messenger's escutcheon i.e. a stain on his honour. To accept with

conviction that the people of every era, according to the requirements

of their time, will have to compile the details of the law in the light

of the Quran by mutual consultation – this would be done in the light

of the immutable principles of the Quran; the details of law will keep

changing according to circumstances, but the principles of the Quran

shall forever remain unalterable. It was with this modality that the

questions have been answered in the light of the Quran. It will be in

this way that the World will replanish with the light of the

Nourisher.

Nawaz
