Asalamalaikum

Sorry about the delay.

Jezekelah khayran for trying to help with my difficulties. I really appreciate it. Reading back on some of the things I wrote really made me realise that I'm in what I'd like to call a spiritual break-down. Makes me appreciate what I used to have, you know that feeling inside. That void inside of your heart that cannot be fulfilled other then by praying salat. The best way I can refer to that feeling is "Imaan".

what a coincidence, yes I do. And what an Honor that is!

Quote:I was saying that when Allah brought forth man as a creation, the angels were questioning why Allah would do such a thing when man will behave so terribly. Allah told them that He Knew what they did not. One thing (of course only Allah Knows all of His Reasons) is that because man has freewill, human's devotion to Allah is more special. We choose to love Allah. The angels have been Created to do just that. They have no choice. Also, by man existing, more of creation gets to experience more of Allah's Attributes, Forgiveness. If we did not sin, nothing would know that One Trait that our Greatest Provider is Forgiveness. What a blessing that we get to know Allah on a level that no other part of creation gets to know Him.

Allah is so merciful. That's Something that's hard to comprehend very overwhelming. Shaytan is always there though ready to throw us off the nearest cliff, whereas Allah wants us always coming back to him, no matter what. Allah's name is not Ar-rahman for nothing masha'Allah. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Quote:I do not know if I have been of any help to anyone but I feel invigorated myself.

You have no idea how much Brother. I pray that Allah rewards you for your sincerity.

Insha'Allah if you have a child one day, You will become a great father.

As Salam alaikum

Dear sister, I believe that we have all been through times in our lives that our iman gets weaker or feels weaker. I am starting to learn that those periods actually help motivate me to greater levels of iman.

First, I pray to Allah for everything and do so by addressing him in his most beautiful of names, Ar-Razzaq, Al-Kareem, Ar- Rahman, Al-Ghafoor, Al-Mujeeb, Al-Hammed, etc... I feel when I address Allah by His other Names and Attributes that I remind myself of all that He can do and how Powerful He is. I ask, "Oh Allah, help me get up for prayer because you are An-Nasr, Help me be obedient because you are Al-Hameed. Give me (all my current wants) because You are Ar-Razzaq wal-Kareem."

I have to keep reminding myself that if I have ANY need that I should ask Allah for it. If I am asking for something that is not good for me then I ask Allah to Help me see that and to give me the good. Constant du'a for me helps. Make du'a about anything and everything. "O Allah, please make this a beautiful day because you are Al-Khalaq." "O Allah, please give me patience to wait in this line because you are As-Sabr."

Do thikr as well. When I am in an Islamic slump, then I try to remember to say subhannallah one hundred times because it is rewarded with one thousand graces. (Insha'Allah I will try to find the hadith that supports that.) It takes less than a minute and it can really add up! Don't let shaytan fool you. Remember that good deeds erase the bad. How cool is that! Even if I have just done something bad, I try to quickly ask for forgiveness and then say subhannallah one hundred times. I start to feel better about my relationship with Allah because I am showing that I really do want to be close to Him it is just that I mess up. Remember that Allah would bring forth another creation if we did not sin and need to seek repentance. (Insha'Allah I will try to find the hadith that supports that, too.)

I do not know if I have been of any help to anyone but I feel invigorated myself. Alhamdulillah. If I have said anything wrong it is because of my misunderstanding and faults. If good has been said, then it is a Blessing from Allah, subhanna wa ta'ala.

Insha'Allah I'll be ok. Jezekelah khayran for your words Muslimah. My Imaan is not so strong anymore. Too many hardships to face, so easy to slip.

<b>Sura Al- Anbiyya_h, v. 83 and 84:
</b>

<i>"And (remember) Ayyub when he cried to his Lord "Truly</i>

distress has seized me but You are the Most Merciful

of those that are merciful."

So We listened to him: We removed the distress that

was on him and We restored his people to him and

doubled their number as a Grace from Ourselves and a

thing for commemoration for all who serve Us"

This inspiring story of Prophet Ayyub is a wonderful example to me. I was reading it today, Insha'Allah u didn't mind me sharing it with you. It has helped me ease some of my worries and fears when I encounter sudden hardship. I should not feel sorry for myself because self-pity leads me nowhere. I should place my complete trust in Allah subhanallahu ta'ala, and have the certainty in heart and mind, that at the end of my pain and suffering, there will come ease insha'Allah.

Please keep me in your dua's.

Jezekelah Khayran to my lil Sis Jameela for posting this great reminder.

Insha'Allah can someone, Muslimah or anybody. Tell us how we can be strong spiritually, because salat is not some ritual or performing some excersise going up and down. What if you have the Niyah, the will, the wudu. And Salat is still a struggle especially spiritually. I'm not asking this for myself, but speaking generally.

Thanks

O dearest Nasrah just dont say this about youself, dont say cursed. We seek refuge to Allah from being cursed. waliyadhubillah. This is something major to say.

Insh a Allah I will pm you dearest.

In general, Dua yes is excellent to be able to wake up. Other means as well is to follow the sunnah in terms of making the before sleep dhikr including reciting the 3 qols 3 times and wipping off your body from front and back.

Recite Ayahtul korsi with intention of protecting yourself against Shaytan.

Nasrah those sounds are the shaytan of course trying hard to take you off the correct path. Just hold on dear sister.

Dua is one of the greatest sources of strength and success in all things, as it has been said already. Praying to Allah to help you wake up to pray is helpful.

I never in my life used Alarm clocks to wake me up. It's strange to some people especially the people whom I live with. If I want to do something at such and such time and it's important to me, I'll wake up exactly at that time. Even if I go to sleep after 12:00 am in the morning. Sadly though there have been moments in my life that I never prayed properly and that made it difficult for me to stand in prayer and pray, because these voices in my mind tell me, "There is no point in praying, because you can't just pray when you want to, it's better if you don't pray at all. It's really frustrating. And it makes me feel ashamed to stand infront of Allah.

I don't want to make myself look like someone who prays all the time and is pious because I'm not. Lately I've been struggling to pray my salats. And it's starting to effect me.

I feel like someone or something has seriously set a curse on me. I feel these struggles in me when I stand for prayer, it scares me. I wish I could just pray my salats and feel the fulfillment I always used to feel after praying. I feel empty. I know I have the will, but I feel cursed.

Truly Mash a Allah one feels so down when Fajr is missed.

As for the methods, most important is:

* To take the intention (Niyah) for waking up for Fajr.

* You can set the alarm.

* Friends wake each other.

* I heard, but this is not established in Sunnah, that if u recite the last 3 Ayahs of Surat Kahf with the intention of waking up at any time during night, Allah Wakes you up.

Truthfully, I ask Allah for His Help. If I have a need I must ask Him first. Fajr is a need. I feel horrible if I do not get up for it. May Allah Protect me. I also like knowing that I am one of the few people up at this hour and I am doing it solely because I love Allah.

<b>Uthmaan ibn 'Affaan related:</b>

<b>
</b>

I heard Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) say: "He

who prays Ishaa in Jamaa'ah [congregation] is as if he has

prayed for half the night . As to him who (also) prays Fajr in

congregation, it is as if he has prayed all night." [narrated by

Maalik and the wording is that of Muslim who also reported it]

On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud (radiallaahu-anhu) that he said: The case of a man who slept all the night up to sunrise (without waking up for Fajr) was related to the Prophet (SWS) whereupon he said: "That was a man in whose ear Shaytaan has urinated", or he said "in both his ears".

The Prophet (SWS) said:

"Shaytaan ties three knots on the crown of any one of you in your sleep. He says upon each knot that he ties: "You have a long night before you, therefore sleep". But if you wake up and mention Allah, Most Exalted in remembrance one knot will be untied. If you then make ablution another knot will be undone. If you then proceed to pray the last knot will be disentangled. Thus, you will feel in the morning energetic and in good spirits. Otherwise you will feel in a despicable state, lazy".

[narrated by Maalik, Bukhaaree, Muslim and Abu Dawood]

Know that one's failure to pray Fajr results to depressive state of mind and the loss of many religious and worldly benefits. And this is an act of hypocrisy.

In a hadeeth narrated by Bukhaaree and Muslim, the Prophet (SWS) said:

"Indeed, the most difficult of prayers to bear, for the

hypocrites, are Ishaa [night] and Fajr prayers. If only they

knew what they are missing , they would sooner come, even if

crawling on their knees".

The time following Fajr prayer is full of goodness and blessings. At-Tirmidhee narrated upon the authority of Al Ghamdi that the Prophet (SWS) said: "O Allah bless my Ummah in its early rising!"

What method's do you use for waking up for the Fajr Prayer??
