Bismillah

as salam alykom

well here I am Umm Zachria dearest.

Brother shameem, the Ayah posted by Umm of course is the one u referred to. However, as u may have noticed, on this thread in particular we intended to be very simply and to the point for PII and similar members to grasp the info easily.

The Ayah will take us to more technical details that may make such members loose the points.

Assalamu aleikum,

Sorry for rushing in, I have not 'seen' Muslimah today, and felt like answering. Hope that is ok.

''Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-'' The Qur'an 56:83

PII u should not feel a bit embarrased [Image: smile.gif] . We are here to do our job as required to Alalh, since u r seeking knowledge. We must give. Alhamdulelah that was useful. I dont claim any credit in this, It is all from and to Allah S&T.

Now as far as the waiting area, it has nothing to do with the catholic concept of purgetory. That is totally a different topic which may take us out of this. I am more than ready to explain it if u wish so.

However, this waiting area is part of the unknown. We only know that it is just a sort of a time zone. Souls wait there till the Day of Resurrection, when we will all be called to return to our bodies to resurrect and face the truth PII.

As for a good person but not believing in Prophet Mohamed salla Allah A`alyhee wa sallam. And Allah Knows best they receive their reward here in this life, or else Allah Wont Be Fair and He is the Just. But on the Day After, that is it. Allah Allowed them every chance to learn, Allah Didnt hide info from them, Sent them Prophets and Messengers, Explained to them. Allah Was also so Patient with them, He didnt clap down the skies on them. U simply dont know how much Allah Is eager for all of us to believe.

Any way not to go off topic. They receive their reward here in this life, but can not go to heavens.

Most welcome Peace and ready for more if u wish... [Image: smile.gif][Image: smile.gif][Image: smile.gif]

That was actually extremely usefull and easy to understand. Three cheers for Muslimah.

I didn't know about what "waiting area" in Islam. Very interesting. Catholics believe in purgetory which is kind of a waiting area where you go if you had some sins, but we're really that bad. Or non-baptised, but still a good person. Anyway, yeah, thanks for all the info, though I feel a bit embarrased having a whole thread devoted to me. [Image: blink.gif]

One more question, just to clarify. WHat if someone is a really really good person, but just doesn't happen to believe that Mohammed was the messenger of god. Can they still get in to heaven?

Jazaki Allah khairan Umm Zachriah Insh a Allah we will wait for PII to give his feedback.

Assalamu aleikum,

Nothing to add for now, mashaAllah sister Muslimah you explained it in such a simple way and yet so clarifying.

If PII will take it from here, inshaAllah we will give our support for a continuing and deeper understanding.

However, technically speaking when the soul leaves the body, of course the body no longer functions. All vital operations stop which is referred to as death of body. Yet we can call it an end yes but concurrently the beginning of the eternal life just as the above hadeeth explains. When we all Shall stand before our Lord to be judged, then directed to the final destination, may Allah Makes it Jannah (paradise), we will be there eternally. No more death.
